Tanta University and Egypt Post Sign Cooperation Protocol to Offer Postal and Financial Services On-Campus
Egypt Post and Tanta University have signed a cooperation protocol to activate a range of integrated postal and financial services within the university, serving students, faculty members, and staff.
The protocol was signed by Mr. Sayed Taman, Vice Chairman of Egypt Post for Regions Affairs, and Prof. Mahmoud Farouk Selim, Vice President of Tanta University for Community Service and Environmental Development, in the presence of senior university officials.
Ms. Dalia El Baz, Chairperson of Egypt Post, emphasized that this partnership aligns with the authority’s strategy to expand its services within major educational institutions. She noted that the protocol includes several services provided by Egypt Post, such as consular authentication for students’ certificates, collection of tuition fees, delivery of graduation certificates, and salary disbursement through post offices, in addition to installing ATMs across the university campus.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, President of Tanta University, stated that the agreement reflects the university’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with national institutions to enhance the educational process and benefit students and staff. He described the step as a milestone in simplifying university services, enabling students to pay fees and receive official documents through an integrated postal system on campus — in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the university’s transition toward smart, digital services.
For his part, Mr. Sayed Taman highlighted that the partnership demonstrates Tanta University’s confidence in Egypt Post’s capabilities to provide fast, secure, and reliable services to the academic community. He added that the agreement includes multiple provisions to enhance cooperation, such as establishing an on-campus postal branch to deliver all Egypt Post services, and facilitating the payment of postgraduate and housing fees.
Prof. Mahmoud Farouk Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, expressed appreciation for the fruitful collaboration, noting that the agreement supports the university’s digital transformation efforts and reflects a successful model of integration between state institutions in serving citizens. He also extended gratitude to Egypt Post for its ongoing commitment to developing high-quality services that meet the needs of the academic community.
