Orange Egypt Announces Winners of Local Orange Social Venture Prize 2025, Three Startups Advance to International Finals

Orange Egypt has revealed the winners of the 2025 local edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP), recognizing three innovative startups that harness technology to tackle pressing social and environmental challenges. The announcement came during a closing ceremony held on September 8 at Orange’s headquarters in Smart Village, attended by CEO Hesham Mahran, senior executives, and members of the judging panel drawn from Egypt’s entrepreneurship community.

The competition, now in its 15th edition, underscores Orange’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and promoting technological innovation for sustainable social impact.

The Winners

Peekadoo (First Place): A platform designed to support new mothers with eco-friendly, sensory-rich handmade products that aid child development from birth. The initiative also empowers women in marginalized communities by transforming their crochet skills into sustainable income opportunities.

Blutechnova (Second Place): An environmental technology startup pioneering AI, IoT, and robotics-based solutions to protect marine ecosystems. Its innovations contribute to sustainable tourism and strengthen hotels’ environmental credentials.

Lothgha (Third Place): An Arabic-language app tackling speech and communication challenges using AI. With over 75,000 downloads in 84 countries, it offers interactive game-based exercises, private sessions, and supportive digital communities, creating meaningful impact for users worldwide.

Path to the International Stage

By securing the top three spots in Egypt’s local competition, the startups advance to the international finals of the Orange Social Venture Prize, scheduled for October. They will compete against winners from 17 countries across the Middle East and Africa for a share of €70,000 in prizes: €25,000 for first place, €15,000 for second place, and €10,000 for third place. An additional International Women’s Award worth €20,000 will also be presented to a female entrepreneur.

Beyond financial prizes, winners will gain access to mentorship, training, and business development support through Orange’s digital centers to scale their ventures internationally.

Orange Egypt’s Commitment to Innovation

Commenting on the announcement, Maha Nagy, Executive Vice President of PR, Media, and Corporate Communications at Orange Egypt, expressed pride in the caliber of innovations presented this year:

> “We are proud of the outstanding creativity and practical ideas showcased by all participants. Congratulations to our winners, who will now represent Egypt at the international competition. Supporting technological innovation for social good is at the heart of Orange Egypt’s strategy, and we remain committed to empowering youth to transform ideas into impactful, sustainable ventures.”

Egypt has a strong track record in the OSVP international finals. In 2024, Intella won the Jury’s Choice Award (€10,000), while in 2023, Egrobots secured second place with a €15,000 prize.

The 2025 winners now carry forward that legacy, aiming to bring further international recognition to Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
