Paysky Showcases Next-Generation Fintech Innovations at MTN’s Inaugural Fintech Summit in Johannesburg

The MTN Fintech Summit 2025, themed “Take Off Fintech Summit”, brought together global fintech leaders, regulators, and innovators to chart the future of Africa’s digital finance landscape.
Among the distinguished participants was Paysky, a leading fintech enabler across the Middle East and Africa, which showcased its cutting-edge digital payment and financial infrastructure solutions.
The summit underscored the growing collaboration between Paysky and MTN Group, Africa’s largest telecom operator and fintech powerhouse. The two companies are jointly powering MoMo from MTN Marketplace, already operational in three countries and set to expand across MTN’s 21 markets, connecting millions of merchants and consumers through a unified digital ecosystem.
Waleed Sadek, Founder and CEO of Paysky, commented:
“It was an honor for Paysky to present at the first MTN Fintech Summit. Our mission is to democratize access to financial services, and our partnership with MTN highlights how collaboration between fintech innovators and telecom leaders can accelerate financial inclusion and drive economic growth across Africa. This is only the beginning — together, we are shaping the future of digital finance.”
Headquartered in Johannesburg, MTN Group serves nearly 300 million subscribers across 21 countries. Its mobile money platform, MoMo, already counts more than 60 million active users, enabling payments, savings, lending, and marketplace services for underserved communities.
Operating in 18 markets and supporting 10 central banks, Paysky continues to build advanced solutions powering national payment systems, super apps, and merchant ecosystems. Its participation in the summit reinforced its central role in advancing Africa’s digital economy.
A joint announcement from Paysky and MTN is expected in the near future, promising to deliver new innovations that will further transform financial technology and expand access to digital financial services across the continent.
