iSchool Launches “Startup Teen” Finals on Wednesday with 140 Student Projects from 40

The inaugural edition of the Startup Teen Entrepreneurship and Technology Competition is set to reach its climax with the National Finals (The National Day), taking place on Wednesday at the British University in Egypt (BUE). The event will bring together more than 140 student-led projects, supported by leading local and international partners, and presented before a panel of industry experts and innovators.

Since its launch, the competition has engaged over 800 students across 140 teams, all tasked with developing technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges. The initiative reflects a diverse collaboration with 40 schools, including public, private, international, and applied technology schools, ensuring broad participation across Egypt’s educational landscape.

Backed by Key Partners
The competition is held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, with strategic support from major organizations such as Microsoft, IBM, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AAST), DMZ, Fekretak Sherketak, Mobica ATS School, WE, Ghabbour, Taheel, and B.Tech.
It also features international cooperation with European partners including Start School and Riga TechGirls from Latvia, underscoring the competition’s global outlook and significance.

From Training to Entrepreneurship
As the first competition of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East, Startup Teen aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students aged 13 to 18. Participants have undergone a comprehensive journey—beginning with training and awareness, moving to idea development within schools, and culminating in the final showcase at the National Day.

Empowering the Next Generation
In a statement, iSchool management emphasized:
“Startup Teen is not just a competition—it is a genuine platform that empowers students to discover themselves and shape their future, supported by partners who believe in youth as drivers of digital transformation and entrepreneurship in Egypt.”

The final day is expected to serve as a major celebration of student entrepreneurship, offering a unique opportunity for young innovators to present their projects before academia, industry leaders, and the media.
