Vodafone Egypt Launches 5G with Widest National Coverage — No Price Increase for Users

Vodafone Egypt has officially launched 5G services across the country, introducing the widest coverage yet seen in Egypt. The rollout spans more than 2,000 areas, from Greater Cairo to Upper Egypt, marking a transformative step in the digital connectivity landscape for both individuals and businesses.
Ultra-Fast Performance and Reliable Connectivity
The new 5G network from Vodafone promises ultra-low latency, seamless high-speed streaming, and superior network reliability. These features make it a critical enabler of digital infrastructure for key sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, education, and the Internet of Things (IoT), ultimately enhancing quality of life and supporting Egypt’s economic growth.
Unmatched Coverage Backed by Global Expertise
Leveraging Vodafone's global leadership in 5G deployment, the company has achieved the broadest network rollout nationwide. It also unveiled an ambitious plan to expand coverage significantly in the coming weeks. The aim is to build a future-ready network that serves as the digital backbone of Egypt’s evolving economy.
CEO: A New Chapter in Egypt’s Telecom Sector
“This is a historic day for Egypt’s telecom market,” said Mohamed Abdallah, CEO of Vodafone Egypt and Regional CEO for International Markets at Vodacom Group. “With the official launch of 5G, we’re reaffirming our commitment to modernizing network infrastructure and embracing innovation. After being recognized as Egypt’s best network for two consecutive years by independent global reports, we’re confident our 5G will bring tangible value to Egypt’s digital future.”
No Extra Cost — Available to All Customers
Vodafone Egypt confirmed that 5G services are now accessible to all customers across all plans at no additional cost. The service can be activated directly from compatible smartphones through device settings—no SIM card change required. Users can verify their device compatibility through the Vodafone app or website.
Advanced Technology and Major Investments
The company has invested heavily in upgrading its infrastructure, with one of the key innovations being the “Adaptive Interference-Free” (AIF) system—an advanced, proprietary technology developed in Vodafone Egypt’s own labs. This solution enhances performance in complex network environments, ensuring smoother connectivity.
Engaging the Public with Live Demos
To showcase the real-life potential of 5G, Vodafone Egypt participated in Insomnia Egypt—the country’s largest gaming festival—held in April. The company delivered live demos of the network’s speed and stability, drawing significant engagement from attendees.
A Vision for a Connected Future
“Launching 5G is not just about improving user experience; it reflects our deep commitment to empowering individuals and institutions with the tools for digital transformation,” Abdallah concluded. “We believe the future starts now—and we’re working to make it more connected, inclusive, and sustainable for all Egyptians.”
