Masood M. Sharif Mahmood, CEO of e& UAE, has been named among the Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders 2026 by Forbes Middle East, in recognition of leadership within the technology and telecommunications sector.

The annual list highlights executives advancing sustainability across the region’s major industries, with a focus on environmental performance, responsible business practices, and measurable progress toward long-term sustainability goals.

Advancing Sustainable Telecommunications

Under its sustainability strategy, e& has been working to improve energy efficiency across its telecommunications networks and data centres, while integrating environmental considerations into its technology infrastructure.

The company has previously implemented energy-saving solutions, including AI-powered systems that adjust network power consumption to traffic demand. Its initiatives have also included renewable energy adoption, water conservation, and efforts to reduce emissions across operations.

e& UAE has additionally pursued initiatives connecting consumer engagement with environmental action, including its “Save & Grow” programme, launched in March 2025.
