X Cashtag Launch Connects Financial Content With Trading
X has launched its X Cashtag Partnerships program in the United States, linking financial discussions and market information on the platform with access to trading through participating brokerage firms, including Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Gemini, Kraken and Coinbase.
Under the program, X users can click Cashtags to move directly to participating brokers after reviewing information and discussions related to the relevant financial asset on the platform.
Cashtags Turn Trading Symbols Into Interactive Destinations
X said Cashtags turn symbols for stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and cryptocurrencies into interactive destinations where users can follow related discussions and access information about market movements.
The new partnerships create a path that begins with discovering a trading symbol and following conversations about the asset on X, before moving to a participating brokerage to take a trading-related action.
When users click a Cashtag, they can view the asset’s price chart and related posts on X. They can then select the “Trade” option to move to the website of a participating brokerage.
Moving From X to Brokerage Platforms
Once on the brokerage platform, users can log into an existing account or create a new one, then complete the trading process based on the services offered by the brokerage.
The launch expands X’s use of financial content by connecting tools for discovering and following financial assets with the next steps users may take outside the platform through participating brokerage firms.
