ADNOC L&S Inks $444 Million Deal for Two Next-Generation LNG Carriers to Expand Global Maritime Fleet

ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S) has announced the acquisition of two advanced next-generation liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers in a transaction valued at AED 1.631 billion ($444 million). The strategic investment aligns with the company’s fleet expansion strategy to capitalize on surging global LNG demand and trade flows.

The deal forms part of a massive capital deployment drive throughout 2026, raising the total value of shipbuilding commitments and acquisitions announced by ADNOC L&S since the start of the year to approximately AED 9.9 billion ($2.7 billion).

The two newly commissioned vessels will be constructed by Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai, China, each featuring a cargo carrying capacity of 175,000 cubic meters. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2029.

With the addition of these two vessels, ADNOC L&S’s dedicated LNG fleet will expand to 24 carriers, comprising four operational legacy vessels, six next-generation carriers delivered since Q4 2024, and 14 state-of-the-art carriers currently under construction.
