OPPO Opens Its Largest MEA Service Center in Egypt as It Expands Retail Footprint

OPPO has opened a new Experience Center in Faisal, Giza, housing what the smartphone maker says is its largest service center in the Middle East and Africa, as the company steps up its retail and after-sales expansion in Egypt.

The new location combines product sales, hands-on technology demonstrations and after-sales services in a single destination, while also providing space for workshops and community activities.

The opening comes as OPPO moves to expand its directly operated retail network in Egypt to 18 stores by the end of 2026, from seven currently operating across Cairo, Giza, Tanta and Benha. The company also works with more than 8,000 distributors and retailers nationwide, giving it a broad presence beyond its own stores.

Egypt Takes a Bigger Role in OPPO’s Regional Strategy

The Faisal center is part of a wider localization push that combines retail expansion with local manufacturing and after-sales infrastructure.

OPPO plans to increase its presence in high-growth and relatively underserved areas, including Upper Egypt, while expanding partnerships with retailers, distributors and telecom operators.

That strategy gives the company a wider physical footprint at a time when smartphone brands are increasingly competing not only on devices and pricing, but also on the quality of the ownership experience, including repairs, warranty coverage and access to technical support.

“Egypt represents an important part of our long-term regional strategy, and the Faisal Experience Center reflects how we are bringing technology, service and consumer engagement closer together,” said Lay Ren, President of OPPO MEA.

He said housing OPPO’s largest service center in the Middle East and Africa at the new location marks an important step in the company’s regional expansion and is intended to make customer support more accessible throughout the ownership cycle.

More Than a Conventional Smartphone Store

Unlike a traditional retail outlet, the new center has been designed to give visitors direct access to OPPO’s broader device ecosystem.

Consumers can test smartphones and other devices, experiment with camera and artificial intelligence features and receive personalized product support. The facility will also host workshops and offline activities focused on technology, creativity and user engagement.

An integrated service area on the second floor provides technical assistance, repairs and device support, bringing sales and after-sales operations into the same location.

The center arrives days after OPPO launched its Reno16 Series in Egypt, including the Reno16, Reno16 Pro and Reno16 F, as the company seeks to build on the momentum of its Reno portfolio in the local mid-to-premium smartphone segment.

Egyptian Elements Shape the New Center

OPPO has also incorporated local architectural references into the design rather than applying its international retail format unchanged.

Built around what the company calls “Harmony with Local Culture,” the center features pyramid-inspired textures and a transparent façade alongside greenery designed to evoke a desert oasis.

The first floor takes cues from the traditional Egyptian souq, while a staircase inspired by the Nile connects the two levels. Photographs taken by Egyptian OPPO users are displayed throughout the space, bringing locally created content into the store design.

Extended Warranty and Service Offers

To coincide with the opening, OPPO is running a series of temporary customer programs.

Eligible purchases made during August and September will give customers entry into a draw that includes a Reno16 F among the prizes, while OPPO users nationwide can receive complimentary screen-protector application from August through October.

Eligible smartphone purchases will also receive an additional six months of warranty coverage, taking the total warranty period to 20 months, subject to the company’s applicable terms and conditions.

The Faisal opening adds another component to OPPO’s broader localization strategy in Egypt, where the company has been expanding local smartphone production alongside its distribution, retail and service operations.

With the target of more than doubling its self-operated store network to 18 locations this year, OPPO is increasingly treating physical retail and after-sales support as part of the same competitive strategy as local manufacturing — building a deeper presence in Egypt rather than relying primarily on third-party distribution.
