 The Gold and Precious Metals Division has announced a new collaboration with the Faculty of Art Education at Capital University to launch a training project for youth in the craft of jewelry making. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to bridge academic studies with practical application inside gold manufacturing companies and factories, ensuring the preparation of qualified professionals who meet current labor market demands.

According to an official statement from the Division, the partnership aims to foster integration between educational institutions and the industrial sector. By providing students with on-the-ground training opportunities inside factories, the program enables them to gain hands-on experience and familiarize themselves with the latest technologies and manufacturing methods in the jewelry industry.

The collaboration is specifically integrated into the university's Jewelry and Ornament Arts training program.

Empowering Local Talent and Deepening Manufacturing

Karam Mosaad, Advisor to the Precious Metals Division, emphasized that the Egyptian gold manufacturing market is in critical need of trained and qualified youth. He highlighted that the Division actively supports all ideas and initiatives aimed at developing Egyptian professionals capable of driving this vital sector forward.

"The project aims to qualify a new generation of specialists in jewelry making, which will help reduce reliance on foreign experts by replacing them with Egyptian competencies. This supports the deepening of local manufacturing and leverages creative innovations inspired by Egyptian heritage," Mosaad stated.

He further explained that modern gold factories require young talents equipped with creative thinking and the ability to operate the latest technological tools. Mosaad noted that the partnership will deliver mutual benefits: students will gain access to advanced industrial facilities, while factories will benefit from the fresh, creative energy of the trained youth.

Mosaad concluded that this collaboration represents a significant step toward building a new generation of designers and technicians. These future professionals will be essential in advancing Egypt's jewelry industry and boosting its competitiveness on both local and global scales, aligning with the state's broader directives to support local industries and increase the added value of Egyptian products.
