Central Bank of Egypt Declares Bank Holiday Next Thursday for July 23 Revolution
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has officially decided to suspend operations across all operating banks in Egypt next Thursday, July 23, 2026.
The holiday is declared in observance of the July 23 Revolution anniversary. Following the long weekend, banking operations are scheduled to officially resume on the morning of Sunday, July 26, 2026.
During the holiday, public and private bank branches will be closed; however, electronic banking services, mobile applications, and automated teller machines (ATMs) across the country will remain fully operational to meet citizens' financial and cash requirements.
