Amazon Rolls Out ”Add to Delivery” Feature for Prime Members in Canada

Amazon has officially launched its new "Add to Delivery" feature in the Canadian market, offering Prime members the flexibility to add new products to their existing orders even after the initial checkout is complete. This update aims to enhance customer convenience by eliminating the need to place separate orders for forgotten items.

How the Feature Works

The functionality is seamlessly integrated across the Amazon Shopping app, mobile browsers, and the desktop website.

Simple Interface: A blue "Add to Delivery" button now appears directly below the standard "Add to Cart" button on eligible product pages.

Order Consolidation: Once selected, the newly added item is merged into the original shipment, provided the primary order is still being processed and hasn't yet shipped.

Easy Cancellations: Customers retain the ability to undo the addition and cancel the extra item via the "Your Orders" page, as long as the shipping process hasn't commenced.

Eligibility and Logistical Benefits

Amazon confirmed that the feature is available for millions of products across diverse categories, including daily consumables, pet supplies, electronics, apparel, and books.

Beyond resolving the common frustration of remembering an item right after checking out, the feature introduces several logistical and environmental advantages:

Fewer Packages: Significantly reduces the volume of separate shipments arriving at a customer's doorstep.

Lower Emissions: Decreases the carbon footprint and operational costs associated with multiple, fragmented transit trips.

Streamlined Delivery: Consolidates purchases into a single delivery box whenever possible, expediting the fulfillment process.

Market Expansion

The "Add to Delivery" tool made its initial debut in the United States in October 2025. Its expansion into Canada underscores Amazon’s ongoing commitment to refining the digital shopping experience, prioritizing user flexibility, and continuously optimizing the efficiency of its delivery networks.
