Orange Egypt and eHealth Sign Strategic MoU to Accelerate Digital Healthcare Transformation
Orange Egypt has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with eHealth, a leading provider of digital healthcare technologies and solutions, to establish a comprehensive framework for cooperation aimed at accelerating digital transformation across Egypt’s healthcare sector and enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare services.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of Africa Health ExCon 2026, the continent’s premier healthcare exhibition and conference held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
The partnership brings together Orange Egypt’s expertise in telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and advanced technology solutions with eHealth’s specialized healthcare platforms and operational know-how, paving the way for the development and operation of a new generation of digital healthcare services and platforms.
The collaboration is designed to support Egypt’s efforts to modernize its healthcare ecosystem, improve operational efficiency, and deliver more integrated and accessible digital health services to healthcare providers and citizens alike.
Under the agreement, both companies will explore opportunities to design, develop, and manage integrated healthcare solutions by leveraging Orange Egypt’s capabilities in connectivity, smart infrastructure, digital channels, customer service, and advanced technologies alongside eHealth’s expertise in digital healthcare operations and platforms.
The partnership also seeks to strengthen interoperability between healthcare systems and services, enabling a more connected and future-ready healthcare ecosystem aligned with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030 and the country’s digital transformation strategy.
In addition, the two companies will evaluate opportunities to jointly operate digital services for healthcare institutions and capitalize on Orange Egypt’s nationwide footprint and distribution channels to reach a broader range of healthcare providers. The agreement also opens the door for building strategic alliances with local and international partners to compete for emerging digital healthcare projects.
The agreement marks another milestone in Orange Egypt’s expanding role in the healthcare sector. Earlier this year, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to support remote diagnosis and telemedicine services in underserved and border areas.
Orange Egypt also partnered with the American University in Cairo to host the seventh edition of the Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab Hackathon Egypt 2026, which focused on leveraging artificial intelligence to advance healthcare systems. In parallel, the company has been engaged in discussions with the Ministry of Health and Population to support the development of an integrated digital healthcare ecosystem and strengthen the readiness of Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance system.
Commenting on the agreement, Mohamed Shebl, Chief Business Officer of Orange Egypt, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to support sectors that directly impact citizens’ lives, with healthcare being among the most critical.
“Healthcare is one of the sectors where technology can generate immediate and sustainable impact,” Shebl said. “We continue to position Orange Egypt as an integrated technology partner capable of developing digital solutions that improve the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare services.”
He added that combining eHealth’s specialized expertise in digital healthcare with Orange Egypt’s advanced technological capabilities will enable the development of integrated solutions that support healthcare providers and contribute to building a more efficient and sustainable healthcare ecosystem.
“This collaboration reflects our commitment to working alongside leading national institutions to support the country’s digital transformation agenda and contribute to the goals of Egypt Vision 2030,” he added.
The agreement is expected to create new opportunities for strategic partnerships and innovative healthcare solutions, reinforcing Egypt’s ambition to become a regional hub for digital health innovation and sustainable healthcare services.
