CIB Offers Free InstaPay Transfers Throughout Eid Al-Adha Holiday
Commercial International Bank (CIB) announced that customers will be able to make free money transfers through the InstaPay application during the Eid Al-Adha holiday period, as part of efforts to support digital payments and enhance customer convenience during the festive season.
The bank said the initiative aims to encourage wider use of digital financial services and facilitate instant money transfers for customers during one of the year’s busiest transaction periods.
Under the offer, CIB customers can conduct transfers through InstaPay without transaction fees throughout the Eid holiday, allowing users to send and receive funds instantly around the clock.
The move comes amid the rapid expansion of Egypt’s digital payments ecosystem and growing adoption of instant payment services powered by the Central Bank of Egypt’s financial technology infrastructure.
InstaPay has become one of Egypt’s fastest-growing fintech platforms, enabling users to conduct instant bank transfers between participating banks through mobile devices without the need to visit branches or ATMs.
Banking sector observers said initiatives such as fee-free transfers during holidays help accelerate digital transformation and strengthen consumer confidence in electronic payment channels, particularly during peak spending seasons.
CIB continues to expand its digital banking services and fintech offerings as competition intensifies among Egyptian banks to attract customers through faster, more convenient digital financial solutions.
The Egyptian banking sector has witnessed significant growth in electronic payment adoption over recent years, supported by government and central bank initiatives aimed at promoting financial inclusion and reducing cash dependency.
