Egypt’s Water Holding Company Activates I-Score System to Enhance Fiscal Governance

In a strategic move toward comprehensive digital transformation, the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) has officially activated the I-Score (Credit Bureau) system. The initiative aims to streamline financial operations and improve service efficiency for citizens. During a high-level meeting led by Eng. Mostafa El-Shimi, Acting Chairman of HCWW, officials discussed the implementation of the system, focusing on auditing and updating customer databases, particularly for non-residential and commercial activities.

Eng. El-Shimi emphasized that integrating credit scoring into the utility sector is a milestone in improving collection efficiency and data accuracy. By adopting modern digital systems, HCWW aims to enhance governance and financial sustainability while ensuring high-quality service delivery. The activation of I-Score is expected to provide deeper insights into customer payment patterns, supporting better decision-making processes and fostering a more resilient financial and technical framework for the water and sanitation sector.
