Over 12,000 Dual-Fuel Vehicles Licensed in Egypt in January

A total of 12,328 dual-fuel vehicles (gasoline and natural gas) were licensed across various traffic units in Egypt during January, according to the latest report issued by the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool.

The report indicated continued diversification in fuel usage across the automotive market, with electric vehicle registrations reaching 1,456 units across different categories during the month.

Gasoline-powered vehicles continued to dominate the market, accounting for 298,613 licensed units in January. Meanwhile, diesel-powered vehicles recorded 115,714 registrations.

In contrast, only 12 vehicles operating on a combined diesel and natural gas system were licensed during the same period.

Overall, the total number of vehicles licensed in Egypt during January reached 448,574 units across all traffic departments nationwide.

The figures reflect ongoing shifts in consumer preferences and fuel trends, particularly amid growing interest in alternative fuel solutions alongside the continued prevalence of conventional gasoline-powered vehicles.
