Google has unveiled a new feature called “Personal Intelligence” within its Gemini application, aimed at enhancing user experience by integrating data and insights across multiple Google services, including Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and Search.

The new capability allows the AI assistant to deliver more accurate answers and personalized recommendations based on a user’s activity context, such as email confirmations, stored images, and previously watched videos. By understanding how individuals interact with Google’s ecosystem, Gemini can provide responses that are more relevant and timely.

Currently, the feature is available to subscribers of Google AI Pro and AI Ultra plans in the United States, with Google planning to roll it out to the free version of the Gemini app and to AI-powered Search in later stages. The feature is powered by Gemini 3, which enables cross-application data analysis without requiring users to manually specify information sources.

Google said the update leverages a competitive advantage not available to rivals such as OpenAI and Anthropic—its deep integration with services used daily by millions of people worldwide. Through this feature, the company aims to offer a more proactive personal assistant capable of helping with travel planning, shopping decisions, and content recommendations.

The company emphasized that privacy and user control remain central to the feature’s design. Users can choose which applications are connected to the assistant and can disable or adjust Personal Intelligence settings at any time.

The feature will be accessible on the web, as well as on Android and iOS, but will be limited to personal accounts and will not extend to Google Workspace accounts used by businesses or educational institutions.
