DXC Technology and ITIDA Forge Strategic Partnership to Expand Egypt’s Tech Hub Role

DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), a Fortune 500 global leader in IT services and digital transformation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) in a ceremony attended by Egypt’s Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly. The partnership aims to expand DXC’s operations in Egypt and reinforce the country’s role as a leading regional center for high-value technology solutions.

Under the agreement, DXC will scale its presence in Egypt to serve multiple global markets across its core service lines, including custom application development, AI-enhanced ServiceNow solutions, Salesforce services, insurance technology solutions, SAP enterprise systems, and advanced data and analytics services.

DXC currently delivers outsourcing and technology solutions to major clients in Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, and Ireland. As part of the new expansion plan, the company will increase its workforce in Egypt by 42%, creating new specialized jobs in application development, service management, data and analytics, and enterprise technology services.

The initiative is aligned with DXC’s long-term strategy to position Egypt as a global delivery hub, leveraging the country’s skilled talent pool and strong digital infrastructure to support customers in international markets.

Dr. Amr Talaat, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said the agreement comes within a broader strategic framework involving 55 global and local companies expanding their outsourcing investments in Egypt. He highlighted Egypt’s competitive advantages—including its highly skilled workforce, advanced digital infrastructure, and strategic geographic location—which together reinforce the country’s standing as a trusted global technology partner.

He added that these strengths enable companies to deliver world-class digital services from Egypt to markets worldwide, unlocking new opportunities for growth and expansion.

The agreement also supports the goals of Egypt’s national Digital Egypt Strategy, launched in 2019 to transform the ICT sector from a service provider into a leading hub for both services and digital production. The collaboration further enables DXC to benefit from a supportive government environment, including more than USD 6 billion invested in digital infrastructure upgrades, and a talent ecosystem of nearly one million young Egyptians trained annually in digital skills.

To support DXC’s expansion, ITIDA will provide integrated support across recruitment, training, and operations. This includes access to ITIDA’s database of graduates and professionals, participation in job fairs, university engagement, and trainee sourcing. The agency will also facilitate specialized training programs delivered through its affiliated institutions, including the Information Technology Institute (ITI) and the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI).

As part of the agreement, DXC will provide access to its Software Engineering Assessment and Certification Center, enabling professionals to earn globally recognized certifications in areas such as CMMI, agile methodologies, artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital transformation, and related disciplines.

Hesham Fayed, Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at DXC Technology, said the company’s operations in Egypt have undergone a significant transformation in recent years—from a traditional delivery center into a strategic digital hub providing advanced services.

He added: “This MoU with ITIDA reflects the rapid evolution of Egypt’s ICT sector and reaffirms our confidence in the exceptional technical capabilities of local talent. Through our strategic partnership with ITIDA, we aim to build sustainable career pathways that offer long-term growth opportunities—not just temporary roles. Egypt will serve as a key pillar in our global delivery network.”
