HMD Showcases «Made in Egypt» Smartphones at Cairo ICT 2025
HMD, the European leader in smartphone manufacturing, announced its participation in the Cairo International Exhibition for Information and Communication Technology (Cairo ICT 2025), reaffirming its strong commitment to Egypt as a strategic hub for manufacturing and regional export operations. At this year’s event, the company will showcase its latest HMD smartphones under the «Made in Egypt» initiative, along with its signature Nokia feature phones produced at the Egyptian Silicon Industries Company (E-SICO) facility located in the New Assiut Technology Park.
HMD’s local manufacturing operations represent a pivotal step in strengthening Egypt’s position as a regional center for technology and electronics production. The company plans to use Egypt as a launchpad for exporting mobile phones to North African markets, with further expansion plans across the African continent.
