In a major step toward supporting Egypt’s digital economy, OPPO recently inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in the country, with an initial investment exceeding EGP 20 million and plans to increase total investment to USD 50 million. The opening ceremony, attended by Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, underscored OPPO’s commitment to deepening local roots and contributing to national industrial growth.
The new facility is set to serve as a regional manufacturing and export hub, with plans to expand to 20 production lines, increase local component sourcing to 50%, and produce a wider range of devices—including smartphones and IoT products. Through these investments, OPPO aims to enhance innovation capabilities, expand access to advanced technology, and strengthen partnerships across Egypt’s technology ecosystem.
