The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has attended the session organized by Egypt under the title “From Breach to Verdict — Egypt’s Comprehensive Approach for International Cyber Justice and Regional Capacity.” The session was held as part of the side events of the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, hosted in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was attended by Ambassador of Egypt to Vietnam Hany Mostafa.
During the high-level discussion, the Egyptian delegation showcased Egypt’s comprehensive approach to achieving international cyber justice and building regional capacities in the areas of digital forensics and cyber investigations.
The session also addressed mechanisms for handling cyber incidents through evidence-based legal procedures aligned with international standards, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of crime detection and offender tracking and leading to prosecution and the realization of justice.
It is worth mentioning that the ICT Minister is heading Egypt’s high-level delegation participating in the Convention’s signing ceremony. The delegation includes representatives from various ministries and relevant entities, including the Ministries of Justice, Interior, Foreign Affairs, and Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), alongside representatives from the Public Prosecution, the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), and the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA).

EG-CERT manages response operations, conducts digital forensic analysis, and facilitates the exchange of threat intelligence within the national system, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, relevant entities, and the Public Prosecution Office.
Furthermore, the ICT Minister and the heads of the participating delegations visited the headquarters of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV); they were welcomed by General Secretary To Lam.
