Dollar Holds Steady Against Egyptian Pound in Midday Trading on Wednesday, September 10, 2025

The US dollar remained stable against the Egyptian pound during midday trading on Wednesday, with the exchange rate at the Central Bank of Egypt holding at EGP 48.00 for purchase and EGP 47.93 for sale.
At the country’s leading banks, the greenback showed little movement. The National Bank of Egypt quoted the dollar at EGP 48.00 for buying and EGP 48.18 for selling, while Banque Misr posted EGP 48.00 for buying and EGP 48.17 for selling. Bank of Cairo and the Commercial International Bank (CIB) both listed the dollar at EGP 48.00 for purchase and EGP 48.18 for sale.
Similarly, Bank of Alexandria maintained its rate at EGP 48.00 for buying and EGP 48.18 for selling.
The figures reflect a day of stability for the US currency across Egypt’s banking sector, with no significant fluctuations recorded by midday.
