Mashreq Bank Egypt Expands Reach Through Strategic Partnership with Fawry and e&

Mohamed Talaat, Head of Retail Banking at Mashreq Bank – Egypt, announced that the bank has launched a strategic partnership with Fawry and e&, leveraging nearly 800 outlets across the country to enhance customer convenience through its Agent Banking service.
Greater Flexibility for Customers
Talaat explained that this collaboration has significantly expanded the bank’s footprint, enabling customers to conduct banking transactions at more flexible hours. Unlike traditional bank branches, these outlets operate throughout the week, including Saturdays, offering extended accessibility.
Easy Account Opening
He highlighted that Mashreq now allows customers to open accounts within minutes through its mobile app, with activation completed by signing at the nearest Fawry or e& outlet. “This makes the banking experience easier and more convenient,” Talaat said.
Growing Customer Base
The initiative has already translated into measurable growth. According to Talaat, the bank’s customer base grew from 360,000 clients at the end of last year to nearly 450,000 clients within just a few months of 2025, underscoring the partnership’s impact on promoting financial inclusion and widening access to banking services.
