COMEX Oman 2025 Technology Exhibition Launches Tomorrow with Strong Egyptian Participation

The 34th edition of the COMEX 2025 Global Technology Exhibition will open tomorrow, Monday, September 8, and run until September 11 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs, and organized by Al Dar Al Arabia for Data Analysis in cooperation with Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

As one of the region’s most prominent technology gatherings, COMEX continues to serve as a leading platform that brings together the latest digital innovations and major regional and international players in the ICT sector.

Strong Egyptian Participation

This year’s exhibition will see a notable presence from Egyptian technology and digital transformation companies, which will showcase cutting-edge solutions in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, fintech, and industrial technologies. Their participation underlines Egypt’s position as a regional hub for innovation in the Middle East and Africa, while enabling local companies to expand partnerships with Gulf and international counterparts and attract new investments.

Oman’s Digital Transformation Momentum

The launch comes as Oman’s digital economy is experiencing significant growth. The country’s digital transformation market reached USD 2.72 billion in 2025, with projections to hit USD 4.65 billion by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.36%.

According to Oman’s national “Tahwul” digital program, government-wide digital transformation performance increased by 80% year-on-year by May 2025, with 11.4 million digital transactions completed across 48 government agencies. The report also noted that 96% of targeted services were streamlined and 74% digitized.

Innovation, Partnerships, and Investment Opportunities

COMEX 2025 will include specialized pavilions dedicated to e-government, startups, fintech, and e-sports, alongside events such as the COMEX Summit, panel discussions, innovation competitions, and awards celebrating leading technology projects.

Commenting on the event, Mohamed Sami, General Manager of Al Dar Al Arabia, stressed that COMEX represents a vital gateway for showcasing the latest digital solutions while offering valuable investment opportunities for entrepreneurs and innovators. He highlighted that the participation of Egyptian startups and SMEs reflects the country’s fast-growing tech sector and strengthens its role in advancing Arab technological integration and expanding the region’s digital economy.

With its focus on innovation, investment, and partnerships, COMEX 2025 stands as a pivotal milestone in Oman’s digital transformation journey while underscoring Egypt’s growing role as a strategic partner in shaping the future of the regional and global ICT landscape.
