QNET and Misr El Kheir Launch FinGreen to Advance Financial Literacy Across Egypt

Tuesday 5 August 2025 13:12

QNET, a global direct-selling company specializing in lifestyle and wellness products, has partnered with the Misr El Kheir Foundation (MEK) to launch FinGreen, its award-winning financial literacy initiative, in Egypt. The program aims to equip underserved communities—particularly youth and women—with practical financial knowledge and sustainable money management skills.

The launch marks FinGreen’s first expansion into the Middle East and North Africa region, and aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting inclusive access to economic education and empowerment. The initiative is set to reach 500 participants across 10 governorates, providing structured, hands-on training to improve financial behaviors and support long-term economic resilience.

Originally introduced in Turkey and Nigeria in 2022, and later expanded to Ghana in 2023, FinGreen has already benefited more than 3,100 individuals, helping them take meaningful steps toward financial independence.

> Omar Taaddi, Regional General Manager of QNET, said:
"We are proud to bring FinGreen to Egypt through this impactful partnership with MEK. FinGreen is more than a financial literacy program—it’s a catalyst for inclusive economic growth and personal empowerment. In a country where nearly 70% of adults remain financially excluded or informally served, initiatives like FinGreen are vital to unlocking opportunity and building resilience."

Powered by a curriculum co-designed with the United Nations, the program combines global best practices with local relevance, leveraging MEK’s deep-rooted presence and community trust to reach those most in need. Participants will be grouped into manageable cohorts—approximately 50 individuals per governorate—to ensure tailored attention and active engagement throughout the training.

> Dr. Ali Fathy, Head of the Integrated Development Sector at MEK, added:
"FinGreen reflects our shared mission to empower communities with the tools they need to achieve financial independence. At Misr El Kheir, we see financial literacy not just as an educational goal, but as a stepping stone to opportunity, self-confidence, and long-term economic stability."

As Egypt continues to prioritize inclusive growth and financial inclusion, FinGreen arrives as a timely intervention that empowers citizens with the skills to navigate personal finance, contribute to their households, and participate meaningfully in the broader economy.
