MMCA and LG Launch Groundbreaking OLED Art Series with Digital Installation by TZUSOO
LG Electronics has officially launched the inaugural exhibition of the MMCA×LG OLED Series 2025 in collaboration with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA). The series opens with a striking digital art installation by renowned Korean media artist TZUSOO, on display at the museum’s central Seoul Box space from August 1, 2025, through February 1, 2026.
This multi-year initiative marks a bold step in bridging contemporary art and cutting-edge display technology. It transforms the Seoul Box—a vast, publicly accessible exhibition space—into a vibrant platform for large-scale media artworks. LG serves as the title sponsor, equipping artists with advanced OLED technology to help realize their creative visions.
A Digital Art Landmark
The inaugural exhibition, titled "Agarmon Encyclopedia: Leaked Edition", showcases TZUSOO’s distinctive artistic language, fusing digital-native aesthetics with themes of gender, desire, and transformation. The installation features a sculptural centerpiece, Agarmon, alongside a two-channel video piece, The Eight Spirits of Flesh.
Powering this immersive environment are 88 LG OLED 55-inch screens, forming two towering media walls tailored to the Seoul Box’s architecture. Renowned for their deep contrast and color accuracy, the OLED displays intensify the visual drama of TZUSOO’s work, bringing digital characters to life with fluid movement and hyperreal detail.
