NTRA Mandates Free Mobile and Fixed Internet for Customers Affected by Ramses Central Outage

In response to the recent technical disruption caused by the fire at Ramses Central, the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has issued a directive requiring all telecom operators to immediately compensate affected customers with free mobile and fixed internet services.
As part of the compensation measures, mobile users will receive 1 GB of free data, while fixed internet users will be granted 10 GB of free data on their landline accounts. Alternatively, if landline services remain unstable, users will receive 5 GB of free mobile data.
The NTRA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the quality and continuity of telecom services across the country and emphasized that all necessary steps will be taken to prevent similar disruptions in the future.
