Huawei outperforms Apple, Xiaomi, in Q1 2025 Chinese wearable market

Huawei continues to maintain its leading position in the Chinese wearable market for Q1 2025, defeating rivals like Apple and Xiaomi. The company holds a significant amount of shares in the smartwatch ground on home turf against its rivals.
RUNTO Technology has released a new report revealing the top wearables brand in the Chinese market for Q1 2025, and Huawei won the first rank in this listing.
According to the details, Huawei defeated Apple in the Q1 2025 Chinese wearable race. The Chinese tech giant occupied 37.0% and achieved the first position.
The overall Huawei smartwatch sales have increased by 78.6% YoY. As per RUNTO analysts, the company’s constant reliance on self-developed parts, technologies, diversified product layout, and a fixed user base helped it to lead the wearable segment.
On the other hand, Huawei has started integrating the fusion of advanced HarmonyOS versions and AI-powered health algorithms in its wearables to expand its business in the consumer market.

A perfect example is this case is the newly launched Watch 5 and Watch Fit 4 series. Both smartwatch series come with dynamic features using AI technologies.
Apple got the second place with a market share of 24%. Its sales growth is seeing a positive growth of 62.7% year-on-year, thanks to the Watch Series 10 and a Chinese subsidy that helped the company to increase its product sales in the market.
Xiaomi achieved the third rank with a 13.9% market share. The company has earned 96.8%, while the annual progress has increased by 3.6%. A big credit goes to the budget-friendly products like the Redmi Watch 5.
Vivo and Honor grabbed the fourth and fifth positions in the Q1 2025 market with 3.0 market share (273.1%) and 2.6 and 7.29, respectively.
