Hatem Dowidar Invests in Tactful AI
Hatem Dowidar, former Group Chief Executive Officer of e&, has invested in Tactful AI, an artificial intelligence company developing technology for agentic customer experience, as part of the company's pre-Series A extension round.
The investment, announced on October 19, 2026, comes as Tactful prepares to advance its next generation of AI-powered customer experience technology.
The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
Advancing Agentic AI for Customer Experience
Tactful AI is developing technology that enables enterprises to manage customer interactions and automate business processes through artificial intelligence.
Its platform combines customer engagement, workflow orchestration, analytics, automation, governance, and AI agents within a single environment.
Unlike conventional AI customer service tools that primarily respond to inquiries, agentic AI systems are designed to carry out tasks and execute workflows within defined operational controls and human supervision.
Tactful Reports Strong Business Growth
According to the company, its annual recurring revenue (ARR) increased 11.7 times between January 2025 and October 2026.
During the same period, the number of customer conversations handled by its platform each month grew 32 times.
Tactful's customers include Elaraby Group, Raneen, 2B, Lucky One, Erada Finance, and Simplex.
Dowidar's Investment Supports the Company's Next Growth Phase
Mohamed Elmasry, Co-Founder and CEO of Tactful AI, said Dowidar's experience in leading major technology and telecommunications companies provides valuable strategic support as the company develops its next generation of AI-driven customer experience solutions.
Dowidar previously served as Group CEO of e& from 2020 until March 2026 and held senior leadership positions in the telecommunications industry, including at Vodafone.
The company is building on its pre-Series A round announced in February 2026, which was co-led by Foras AI and M Empire.
Tactful plans to pursue a Series A funding round in 2027 as it continues developing its agentic AI capabilities and expanding its enterprise customer base.
