The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has concluded the activities of the first edition of the "Aqdar" program, dedicated to developing the digital skills of Down syndrome champions. This vital program was implemented in joint collaboration with the Seti Center - Caritas Egypt and the Al-Asem Foundation for Comprehensive Development, in effective partnership with the "Develop and Change" (Tawer we Ghayer) initiative.

Program Objectives and Target Group

Spanning three weeks, the program targeted youth with Down syndrome aged between 18 and 35 years. The training relied on an innovative, interactive methodology that simplifies advanced technological concepts through practical demonstration and hands-on learning, helping participants utilize these technologies in their daily lives.

Training Content and Impact on Participants

The program included practical training to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and their various applications, alongside a variety of activities designed to enhance personal and digital skills. This aims to enable participants to complete their daily tasks with greater independence, boost their self-confidence, and discover their full potential.

Supporting Digital Inclusion and Disability Integration

The launch of this program aligns with the Ministry of Communications' strategy to promote digital inclusion and empower persons with disabilities. By offering equal opportunities to acquire modern technological skills, it supports their active and meaningful participation in society while providing a supportive and sustainable environment.
