Etisalat Egypt is extending its green building programme across its customer service network, with seven additional stores securing EDGE Advanced certification. The latest milestone raises the number of certified locations to 21, following an initial phase that covered 14 stores.

The expansion forms part of the company's broader approach to making its facilities more resource-efficient and reducing the environmental impact of its retail operations.

Green Building Standards Across the Retail Network

The programme focuses on lowering energy and water consumption through environmentally friendly solutions and improved operating practices. These measures are intended to deliver resource savings while supporting the development of company facilities and maintaining service quality.

EDGE Advanced certification evaluates buildings against standards covering energy and water efficiency, as well as the environmental impact of construction materials. Applying these requirements encourages more efficient resource use and brings environmental factors into facility planning and operational management.

Etisalat Egypt Targets Measurable Environmental Improvements

Eng. Ahmed Emam, Head of Branding, Corporate Communications and Sustainability at Etisalat Egypt, described the expansion of EDGE Advanced certification as a practical step in making sustainability part of the company's everyday activities.

He noted that the initiative is designed to achieve tangible improvements rather than focus solely on meeting environmental requirements. Its priorities include using resources more efficiently, rationalising energy and water consumption and reducing the environmental footprint of company operations.

The company plans to continue extending these practices across its facilities as part of its commitment to more sustainable operations.

ESG Practices Support Long-Term Sustainability

Etisalat Egypt is also incorporating environmental sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices into its wider business operations.

By adopting solutions that improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact, the company aims to support long-term improvements across its facilities and strengthen its operational performance.

The increase to 21 certified stores highlights the company's ongoing efforts to adopt green building standards and promote environmentally responsible practices throughout its retail network.
