inDrive Launches ”Tawwar” Initiative to Empower 1,000 Drivers” Children in Egypt with AI Skills
Global smart services platform inDrive has announced the launch of its new community-driven initiative, "Tawwar with inDrive", aimed at providing quality educational and developmental opportunities for drivers' children across various Egyptian governorates. This step comes in appreciation of drivers as the cornerstone of the platform’s success and reflects a commitment to investing in their families' future by equipping the youth with modern technological skills.
A Tripartite Partnership for High-Quality Tech Education
The initiative is executed in collaboration with the Misr El Kheir Foundation and Tech Valley (Google's educational partner) to open new horizons for 1,000 children of inDrive drivers. Combining in-person learning with online education, the program aims to enhance digital literacy, artificial intelligence, and coding skills among children and youth.
Leadership Vision: Investing in People and Empowering the Future
Alaa El-Din Shalaby (Country Manager at inDrive Egypt): Emphasized that drivers are the core of the company's ecosystem, noting that the initiative aims to equip their children with creative thinking and problem-solving skills to build and develop technology rather than just consume it.
Dr. Nagwa El-Sayed (Head of Scientific Research at Misr El Kheir Foundation): Highlighted that the partnership underscores the importance of collaboration between civil society and the private sector to deliver practical technology education that fosters innovation and critical thinking for sustainable development.
Omar Farooq (Founder and CEO of Tech Valley): Stated that Google’s educational curriculum will be delivered via live stream in Arabic, building on Tech Valley’s experience of empowering thousands of learners globally.
Building on Past Successes and Community Involvement via "inDrive MAX"
This initiative extends the success of the Digital Literacy Program executed in 2026, which trained 327 students aged 9–16 and 30 local facilitators across Cairo, Fayoum, and Sohag in programming languages such as Scratch and Python.
Additionally, the "inDrive MAX" feature enables passengers to actively participate by donating their reward points earned through the app to fund extra educational seats for children, reinforcing community solidarity.
