Egypt to Bring Global TVET Stakeholders Together at INNOVET III Summit
Egypt is set to host the third Innovation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training Summit (INNOVET III) on November 9, bringing together international and local stakeholders to discuss the future of technical and vocational education.
A New Vision for Technical Education
Organized by GIZ Egypt in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the summit will take place at Granada Palace in Heliopolis, Cairo, under the theme “INNOVET III: TVET ReAImagined.”
The event will bring together policymakers, development partners, teachers, students and private-sector representatives to explore ways to further develop Egypt’s TVET system and strengthen its connection to labor-market needs.
Digital Innovation at the Heart of the Event
Rather than focusing solely on traditional panel discussions, INNOVET III will feature interactive activities designed to showcase practical approaches and encourage innovation.
One of the main activities will be the Digital Students’ Hackathon, giving students an opportunity to participate in digital innovation and demonstrate their ideas and capabilities.
Sports and Creative Activities
The summit’s program will also include the Running Event for the Future of TVET and a TVET Art Gallery, adding sports and creative activities to the discussions surrounding the future development of technical education.
International Support for TVET Development
GIZ Egypt is organizing the summit on behalf of the German government in cooperation with Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education.
The event is co-funded by the European Union Delegation to Egypt through EU4YES and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), highlighting the international partnership supporting efforts to advance technical and vocational education in Egypt.
