Tanmiya Capital Fund II Reaches $130M Final Close to Back Egypt’s Growth Companies
Tanmiya Capital Fund II has secured $130 million at its final close, creating a larger financing platform for established Egyptian companies looking to expand, strengthen their operations and compete in regional markets.
The fund attracted support from the European Investment Bank, MSMEDA and several other institutional investors, surpassing its original $120 million fundraising objective.
New Capital Targets Egypt’s Established Businesses
The fund will focus on companies that have already established their operations but require strategic capital to accelerate growth.
The EIB is contributing $37.5 million through EIB Global, bringing additional international expertise alongside financial support for businesses seeking to scale.
Healthcare, Fintech and Logistics Among Target Sectors
Tanmiya Capital plans to invest across a diversified group of Egyptian businesses, with healthcare, training, financial technology, consumer products, logistics and transportation among the sectors identified for investment.
Beyond capital, the fund is expected to support portfolio companies with management expertise, stronger governance and operational improvements designed to support sustainable expansion.
Investment Program Seeks to Mobilize Private Capital
For MSMEDA, participation in the fund supports its broader Fund of Funds programme, which is designed to increase the flow of private and international capital into promising Egyptian businesses.
The programme also aims to strengthen the local private investment ecosystem and expand sustainable financing options for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises.
