Egypt to Roll Out 27 Youth Technology Hubs Under New Partnership With Quantum Club
Egypt is set to expand technology training opportunities for young people through a new partnership between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Egyptian technology education and esports company Quantum Club.
The two sides have signed a cooperation protocol to establish and equip 27 technology training centers inside youth centers and youth development centers across Egypt. The initiative is designed to give young people greater access to digital skills and prepare them for evolving labor market requirements and future employment opportunities.
Project to Cover All 27 Governorates
The agreement was signed by Mohamed Saeed Mazen, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Youssef Mohsen, CEO and Founder of Quantum Club.
The initiative forms part of the “National Arm for Building Egypt’s Digital Economy” project and supports the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
Under the agreement, one specialized technology training center will be established in each of Egypt’s 27 governorates.
The project’s initial rollout will cover Cairo, Alexandria, Dakahlia and Luxor, with plans to gradually extend the network to the rest of the country.
Focus on Digital Skills and Future Jobs
The partnership is intended to strengthen young people’s ability to participate in the digital economy by providing practical training in areas expected to play a growing role in the labor market.
Gawhar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, said partnerships with the private sector are important for providing specialized programs that help young people keep pace with rapid technological developments.
He also highlighted the role of youth centers in reaching young people across governorates, particularly in villages and rural communities, where access to specialized technology education can be more limited.
According to the minister, developing young people’s knowledge and capabilities is an important part of investing in Egypt’s human capital.
Quantum Club Targets Wider Technology Education Access
Ali Moussa, Chairman of Quantum Club, said the company’s cooperation with the ministry is driven by the objective of making technology education available to a broader segment of Egyptian youth.
He emphasized the importance of reaching communities where opportunities to access modern technology programs remain limited, particularly villages and rural areas.
Moussa also welcomed the ministry’s engagement with the company’s initiatives and ideas, which he said could create additional opportunities for cooperation aimed at supporting young people.
AI, Software and Esports Among Training Tracks
The centers will offer programs covering several technology and digital disciplines, including artificial intelligence and its applications, programming and software development, game development, esports and information technology.
Training will also cover freelancing skills and youth economic empowerment.
The programs are expected to place a strong emphasis on practical learning and project development, enabling participants to apply their newly acquired skills toward employment, freelance work or launching their own projects.
The initiative will also seek to connect the skills developed through the programs with the needs of the labor market and emerging job opportunities.
Discounted Training and Free Events
Beyond formal training, the cooperation protocol includes plans for tournaments, open days and free youth activities at participating centers.
Training courses will also be offered at discounted prices to make the programs accessible to a wider range of young people.
Through these activities, the initiative aims to expand participation in technology and esports while giving youth centers a broader role as platforms for modern education and skills development alongside their existing sports and youth activities.
The partnership reflects Egypt’s wider efforts to work with the private sector to expand technology education, strengthen youth capabilities and support the country’s digital transformation goals under Egypt Vision 2030.
