ASUS Targets Mobile Professionals With 1.2kg ExpertBook A7 Business Laptop
ASUS is expanding its business laptop portfolio with the ExpertBook A7, combining an ultraslim aluminum chassis with a high-resolution OLED display, AI productivity tools and multiple layers of enterprise-focused security.
Designed for professionals moving between different work environments, the 14-inch laptop starts at around 1.2kg and measures approximately 1cm thin. It is scheduled to reach the Egyptian market in Q1 2027.
Mobility Shapes the ExpertBook A7 Design
Rather than focusing only on performance, ASUS has built the ExpertBook A7 around portability for hybrid working environments.
Its chassis is precision-milled from a single block of 6000-series aluminum alloy, while Lunar Silver and Eclipse Black finishes provide two design options.
The laptop can deliver up to 26 hours of battery life, according to ASUS, and its fast-charging system can replenish up to half of the battery capacity in 30 minutes.
OLED Screen Combines 3K Resolution With 120Hz Refresh Rate
Visuals are delivered through a 14-inch 3K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 90% screen-to-body ratio.
An optional anti-glare surface is designed to reduce reflections when moving between different lighting conditions and working environments.
Intel Hardware Sits Inside the Slim Chassis
The ExpertBook A7 supports configurations with up to an Intel Core 7 processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of PCIe SSD storage.
ASUS ExpertCool manages thermals inside the compact chassis, while Wi-Fi 6E handles wireless connectivity.
For peripherals and external displays, the laptop provides dual full-function USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, USB Type-A and HDMI connectivity.
ASUS Brings AI Tools Into Everyday Workflows
MyExpert adds an AI layer to the ExpertBook A7, providing tools for searching documents and images, summarizing information, translating content and assisting with writing.
The software can also transcribe and summarize meetings and automatically generate to-do lists, positioning AI as part of the laptop’s everyday productivity experience.
Security Extends From BIOS to Biometric Authentication
ASUS is pairing the laptop with its ExpertGuardian security package, including NIST SP 800-193-compliant BIOS protection and Windows 11 Secured-core PC capabilities.
FIDO2 biometric authentication through fingerprint sign-in and a discrete TPM 2.0 chip provide additional identity and credential protection.
The ExpertBook A7 also meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards, includes a Kensington Nano Security Slot and will receive five years of BIOS and driver security updates from ASUS.
Egypt Launch Scheduled for Early 2027
The ExpertBook A7 is scheduled to become available in Egypt during the first quarter of 2027. ASUS has not provided local pricing in the announcement.
