Mövenpick Launches ”Kilo of Kindness” 2026 Across 90+ Hotels Worldwide, Turning Small Acts of Generosity into Meaningful Local Impact
The 11th edition of Kilo of Kindness, running from 26 October to 27 November 2026, marks a new chapter for Mövenpick’s global community initiative. Returning for its biggest edition yet, the campaign will reach more communities around the world while unveiling a refreshed creative identity that brings Kilo of Kindness even closer to Mövenpick’s spirit of generosity. The 2026 edition also lays the foundations for the initiative’s continued evolution, expanding the ways hotels, Heartists®️, guests and local partners can come together to make a meaningful difference.
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is bringing Kilo of Kindness back for its 11th year, inviting guests, Heartists®️ and local communities to come together through simple acts of generosity that can make a meaningful difference.
Running from 26 October to 27 November 2026, this year’s global activation will see 90+ Mövenpick hotels partner with local charities to collect the essential goods most needed by their communities, from non-perishable food and school supplies to clothing and personal care items.
Since its launch in 2015, Kilo of Kindness has grown from one simple idea that even a small contribution can make a difference, into a global expression of Mövenpick’s spirit of generosity. More than 130,000kg of essential goods have been collected to date, bringing together hotels, guests, Heartists®️ and charity partners around the world.
Following the annual activation, 2026 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Kilo of Kindness. Alongside the traditional collection of essential goods, individual hotels will continue to bring the initiative to life year-round through locally relevant activities such as volunteering, fundraising, and other forms of community support.
At the heart of this evolution is a simple belief: every act of kindness has weight. While kilos of essential goods will remain a central measure of the initiative’s impact, Mövenpick will also recognise the time volunteered by Heartists®️, funds raised for local causes, community activities delivered and charity partnerships supported.
“Kindness is at the heart of Mövenpick, and Kilo of Kindness is a wonderful reflection of that spirit. Across the region, where giving, hospitality and caring for others are deeply rooted in our cultures, this initiative holds special meaning. Over the past 11 years, our hotels, Heartists®️, guests and partners have come together to turn simple acts of generosity into meaningful support for their communities. What makes this year particularly special is that we’re taking that spirit beyond a single moment in the year, creating more opportunities to give back through donations, volunteering and local partnerships. Because whether it’s a kilo of essentials, an hour of someone’s time or a helping hand, every act of kindness has the power to make a difference,” said Kerry Healy, Chief Commercial Officer for the Premium, Midscale & Economy Division, Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific at Accor.
Across Egypt, all seven Mövenpick hotels and resorts will take part in this year’s global Kilo of Kindness activation, partnering with local charities to make a meaningful difference in their communities. Throughout the campaign, guests and members of the public are invited to donate non-perishable goods at participating hotels, extending the spirit of generosity across the country.
In Sharm El Sheikh, Mövenpick Resort Sharm El Sheikh will partner with the Lovers of the Prophet Association to collect essential goods for individuals and families in need. From 26 October to 27 November, to raise additional funds, the resort is encouraging guests and Heartists®️ to purchase Kilo of Kindness T-shirts, with proceeds going directly to the association.
These efforts will support the association’s wider charitable work, including providing practical and compassionate assistance to bereaved families.
Each participating property works directly with its selected charity partner to identify the goods that are most useful to the community, ensuring donations respond to genuine local needs. Guests are invited to drop their donations at any of the participating properties: Mövenpick Cairo Media City, Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna, Mövenpick Resort El Quseir, Mövenpick Resort El Sokhna, Mövenpick Resort Sharm El Sheikh, Mövenpick Resort Soma Bay, and Mövenpick Resort Taba.
The 2026 activation will also encompass World Kindness Day on 13 November, creating a shared moment to celebrate the people behind Kilo of Kindness and the many ways generosity can be expressed, both inside and beyond Mövenpick hotels.
Make someone’s day extraordinary
Inspired by Mövenpick founder Ueli Prager’s belief in making the ordinary extraordinary, this year’s Kilo of Kindness invites people to consider how everyday acts can have an impact beyond the moment itself.
From donating food or school supplies to volunteering time or simply doing something thoughtful for another person, Kilo of Kindness celebrates the idea that extraordinary moments do not always require grand gestures. Sometimes, a little extra care is enough to make someone’s day extraordinary.
Guests and members of the local community can take part in the 2026 collection of essential goods at participating Mövenpick hotels between 26 October and 27 November 2026.
