Xceed Enters India Through Acquisition as Egypt’s Outsourcing Industry Pushes Beyond Its Home Market
Egyptian outsourcing company Xceed has entered India through the acquisition of a major local company, marking one of its most significant international expansion moves and giving the company an operating base in one of the world’s largest business process outsourcing markets.
The acquisition was completed in mid-2026, according to Xceed, and has already moved beyond the deal stage into active operations. The company is currently operating from Hyderabad with more than 500 employees providing voice and non-voice services to clients worldwide.
For Xceed, the move is more than adding another country to its geographic footprint. Entering India gives the company access to an established outsourcing ecosystem, a large talent pool and existing operational capabilities that can support its ambitions to compete for larger international contracts.
Xceed Goes From Expansion to Acquisition
Xceed has spent more than 25 years building its outsourcing operations, but its entry into India introduces a different route to international growth.
Rather than building an operation from scratch, the acquisition gives Xceed an existing platform in Hyderabad from which it can expand services and capacity.
The company has not disclosed the name of the acquired business or the financial terms of the transaction.
What it has confirmed is that more than 500 employees are already working from its Indian operation, delivering both voice and non-voice services to international customers.
That puts India alongside Egypt, Morocco, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia and the UAE in Xceed’s international delivery network.
Why India Matters to Xceed
India represents a strategically different market from Xceed’s existing international locations.
It is both a major outsourcing destination and a deep source of technology and services talent, making the acquisition potentially important not only for geographic expansion but also for Xceed’s ability to diversify its global delivery capabilities.
The model could allow the company to combine its existing operations across Egypt, the Middle East and Africa with an Indian delivery base, giving international clients access to services from multiple markets.
Xceed currently employs more than 30,000 people, alongside around 8,000 remote agents, according to company figures.
Its infrastructure includes more than 10,000 technology-enabled workstations, while its services are delivered in 10 languages across a portfolio that has expanded beyond contact centers into areas including managed services, payroll outsourcing, recruitment process outsourcing, and finance and accounting services.
Mohamed Lotfy: India Is the Next Step in Xceed’s International Growth
“The expansion into the Indian market represents an important step in Xceed’s journey to strengthen its international presence and build on more than 25 years of experience in the outsourcing industry,” said Mohamed Lotfy, CEO of Xceed.
“We continue to develop our operational capabilities and capitalize on opportunities in global markets, strengthening our competitiveness and our ability to deliver high-quality services to our clients.”
Lotfy also linked Xceed’s international expansion to the broader development of Egypt’s outsourcing industry.
He said maintaining the sector’s growth requires continued investment in talent and improving the competitiveness of the Egyptian market, alongside cooperation between government and the private sector.
“We look forward to seeing the international experience and expansion of Egyptian companies contribute to strengthening Egypt’s position on the global outsourcing map and creating further opportunities for growth and investment,” he added.
An Egyptian Outsourcing Company Builds a Multi-Country Delivery Network
Xceed was established in 2001 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Telecom Egypt and began contact center operations in 2003.
Over the following years, its business expanded from customer communication and infrastructure outsourcing into a broader BPO portfolio serving both private-sector and government organizations.
The company now operates across six countries — Egypt, Morocco, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and India.
That geographic spread is becoming increasingly relevant as international outsourcing providers compete on their ability to offer clients multiple delivery locations, language capabilities and operational resilience rather than relying on a single market.
Xceed says its workforce can currently provide services in Arabic, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Greek and Ukrainian.
Egypt’s Outsourcing Story Is Beginning to Move Abroad
The acquisition also offers a different perspective on Egypt’s outsourcing ambitions.
For years, much of the industry’s growth story has centered on attracting multinational companies to establish or expand delivery operations in Egypt, supported by the country’s multilingual talent pool, geographic position and cost competitiveness.
Xceed’s move into India represents the opposite direction of travel: an Egyptian outsourcing provider using its domestic base and accumulated expertise to acquire operations abroad and build a wider international delivery network.
That distinction matters.
A mature outsourcing market is not defined solely by the number of international companies it can attract. It can also be measured by whether companies built within that market can expand internationally, acquire businesses and compete for global clients.
With its Hyderabad operation already employing more than 500 people, Xceed’s India acquisition puts that model into practice — turning Egypt from simply a destination for global outsourcing into a potential base for outsourcing companies with international ambitions.
