eTax Expands Its Role in Egypt’s Digital Tax Transformation

Egypt’s Tax Authority has entered into a new agreement with eTax to develop and operate a dedicated electronic platform for managing cases generated through the electronic invoice and electronic receipt systems.

The initiative aims to make greater use of tax data by providing advanced analytical capabilities to identify cases that require examination and prioritize them for follow-up.

From Digital Transactions to Data-Driven Decisions

The platform is expected to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen monitoring across Egypt’s tax administration by turning data generated through digital tax transactions into actionable information.

Khaled Abdel Ghany, CEO of eTax, said the agreement underscores the company’s role as a strategic technology partner to the Tax Authority and reflects its capabilities in developing and operating digital tax systems.

He added that eTax is focused on building integrated and sustainable systems that can improve workflows, maximize the value of data, and enhance institutional performance.

Technology Infrastructure and Cybersecurity

Under the agreement, eTax will handle system analysis, design and development, data warehouse construction, data transfer and integration, as well as hosting and technical operations.

The scope also includes technical support, information security, and application protection, covering key stages of the platform’s technology lifecycle and supporting the continued digital modernization of Egypt’s tax administration.
