Silicon21 Marks 30 Years at Cairo ICT With 25% Larger Presence and Bigger Cybersecurity Push

Thirty years after joining the first edition of Cairo ICT, Silicon21 Group is preparing for its largest presence yet at the technology exhibition, increasing its booth space by 25% as cybersecurity takes a bigger role in the Egyptian technology company’s growth strategy.

The group will participate in the 30th edition of Cairo ICT with a booth spanning around 200 square meters, reflecting both the expansion of its business and the growing portfolio of global technology companies it represents in Egypt.

More significantly, Silicon21 is using the anniversary to sharpen its focus on cybersecurity, bringing F5, Trellix and Thales technologies together at the exhibition as demand grows for securing enterprise data, digital infrastructure and increasingly connected operations.

30 Years Without Missing a Cairo ICT

Silicon21’s relationship with Cairo ICT stretches back to the exhibition’s launch three decades ago, with the company saying it has participated in every edition.

For Tamer Galal, Head of Marketing at Silicon21 Group, that continuity has turned Cairo ICT into more than an annual exhibition for the company.

“Participation in Cairo ICT is a key milestone in the group’s annual agenda and one of the most important technology events in the Egyptian market,” Galal said.

This year, however, Silicon21 is scaling up its physical presence. Its approximately 200-square-meter booth represents a 25% increase compared with previous editions.

The expansion comes as the company broadens both its technology portfolio and the number of international vendors it represents in the market.

Cybersecurity Moves to the Center

Cybersecurity will be one of the defining themes of Silicon21’s participation this year.

The company will showcase solutions from three global technology vendors in its portfolio — F5, Trellix and Thales — covering different areas of enterprise cybersecurity and digital infrastructure protection.

The decision reflects a wider strategic push by Silicon21 to grow its cybersecurity business as organizations invest more heavily in protecting data, networks and critical digital infrastructure against evolving cyber threats.

For the first time, the company will also exhibit in Hall 1, alongside a concentration of cybersecurity companies operating in the Egyptian market.

That positioning is intended to create new business opportunities and deepen engagement with customers and partners rather than treating the exhibition simply as a product showcase.

For Silicon21, Cairo ICT has increasingly become a business-development platform where international technology vendors, distributors, partners and enterprise customers can meet within the same ecosystem.

One Group, Multiple Technology Businesses

The scale of Silicon21’s participation also reflects how the group itself has evolved over the past three decades.

Its current structure includes Silicon HQ, Silicon CRM, Silicon IS and Silicon NITS, alongside Silicon Dubai, with different businesses covering specialized areas of the technology market.

Silicon HQ manages major brands within the group’s portfolio and has a particular focus on cybersecurity, while Silicon NITS provides a range of technology solutions and services, including camera technologies and infrastructure-related services.

Silicon IS focuses on printing and surveillance solutions, including technologies from Hikvision and ViewSonic, while Silicon CRM handles Canon-related business within the group.

Silicon Dubai provides another dimension to the operation.

The Dubai office supports logistics and regional distribution, enabling the group to serve markets beyond Egypt, including Libya and Sudan.

That structure illustrates how Silicon21 has moved beyond its original domestic footprint toward a model combining technology distribution, specialized solutions, services and regional operations.

“We Started With Cairo ICT — and We’re Still Here”

The 30th anniversary also gives Silicon21 an opportunity to connect its own history with that of Cairo ICT.

Galal summarized the company’s message for this year’s exhibition in a simple phrase: “We started with Cairo ICT — and we’re still here.”

“Over the past 30 years, our goal was to build a strong presence in the market. Today, that presence has become a reality, but what we have achieved would not have been possible without the trust of our customers,” he said.

Silicon21 also credited its partners and employees for its growth, highlighting continued investment in building teams capable of keeping pace with rapid changes across the technology industry.

The Next Chapter Is About Value-Added Technology

The larger booth is ultimately only the visible part of a wider shift.

Silicon21 says its next stage of growth will focus increasingly on value-added technology solutions, with cybersecurity at the top of that agenda, while strengthening relationships with international vendors and enterprise customers.

That makes the group’s 30th consecutive Cairo ICT appearance more than an anniversary.

The company entered the exhibition three decades ago as Egypt’s technology market was beginning a very different stage of development. It returns for the 30th edition with a regional operation, multiple specialized businesses and cybersecurity emerging as a major growth engine.

The 25% increase in exhibition space therefore tells only part of the story. What Silicon21 is expanding most aggressively is the scope of the technology business behind it.
