Global Partnership Between Checkout.com and Samsung to Drive Digital Payments and Expand Samsung Pay Reach

Checkout.com, a global leader in digital payment solutions, has announced a strategic global partnership with Samsung Electronics. The collaboration aims to bolster Samsung’s digital commerce ecosystem by delivering flexible, high-performance payment solutions and expanding the availability of Samsung Pay to a broader network of merchants.

This move comes at a time when digital shopping is accelerating, with Checkout.com reporting that 63% of consumers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region expect to increase their online shopping frequency through 2026 and 2027.

Global Expansion Across Markets and Galaxy Store

Under the new agreement, Checkout.com will expand its existing payments processing support for Samsung Gulf Electronics (Samsung.com) to encompass additional digital commerce channels and target markets across North America and the European Union, specifically supporting transactions via the Galaxy Store.

The partnership leverages Checkout.com's global and local acquiring capabilities, transaction processing engine, and performance optimization technologies to ensure seamless, secure payments as Samsung scales its global footprint.

Harnessing AI to Optimize Payment Efficiency

Samsung Electronics will utilize Checkout.com’s Intelligent Acceptance—an AI-powered payment optimization engine that uses real-time network data to increase conversion rates, lower transaction failures, and maximize overall financial performance.

Additionally, Samsung Pay will be integrated into Flow, Checkout.com's low-code integration platform. This enables merchants on the platform to seamlessly offer Samsung Pay as a digital wallet option for web and in-app checkouts, connecting businesses with over one billion Samsung Galaxy device users globally.

Leadership Vision: Building a Flexible Payment Infrastructure

Won-Chul Chai, Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics, emphasized that delivering connected digital experiences requires a highly resilient, reliable, and scalable payment infrastructure. He noted that partnering with Checkout.com will strengthen Samsung's digital commerce foundation while expanding Samsung Pay adoption via the Flow platform.

Antoine Nougué, Chief Revenue Officer at Checkout.com, expressed pride in supporting Samsung's ecosystem, stating that combining local acquiring, Intelligent Acceptance, and Flow provides Samsung with greater flexibility while offering merchants expanded digital payment options for their customers.

Global Scale and Operational Reach

Samsung Electronics operates 221 operational locations across 76 countries, spanning consumer electronics, software, and connected digital experiences including Samsung.com, Galaxy Store, Samsung Wallet, and Samsung Pay.

This partnership highlights Checkout.com's growing momentum in serving enterprise-level clients globally, joining a client portfolio that includes major brands such as Microsoft, Spotify, and Best Buy.
