stc Group CEO Olayan Alwetaid Named Among Forbes Middle East Sustainability Leaders 2026
Olayan Alwetaid, CEO of stc Group, has been included in Forbes Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders 2026 list under the technology and telecommunications category.
The annual ranking recognises executives working to embed sustainability into corporate strategies, operational practices, and long-term business development across the Middle East.
stc’s Climate and Environmental Commitments
stc Group’s sustainability agenda includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency, and strengthening environmental management across its operations.
According to the group’s 2025 sustainability reporting, stc has set a target to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50% by 2030, compared with a 2019 baseline. It also aims to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 46.2% over the same period and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
The company continues to focus on optimising network energy consumption and incorporating sustainability considerations into its digital infrastructure and operational decisions.
