Philips Taps Storm to Expand Audio and Accessories Business Across Jordan
Storm has been appointed an official distributor for Philips Audio & Accessories in Jordan, giving the company responsibility for expanding the brand’s retail reach, product availability and commercial development across the Kingdom.
The agreement, established through a partnership with TP Vision, adds Philips Audio & Accessories to Storm’s growing portfolio of international brands and represents a broader push by the distributor to position itself as a market-development partner rather than simply a route for moving products into retail.
Under the partnership, Storm will oversee an integrated commercial framework spanning distribution, channel development, marketing, retailer training and after-sales support, with plans to increase the availability of Philips products across Jordan’s governorates.
Beyond Traditional Distribution
For Storm, the Philips partnership reflects a strategy built around managing the full journey of an international brand in the local market.
The company plans to expand Philips Audio & Accessories across additional sales channels while working with retailers on product knowledge, marketing activities and customer support.
Maged Mounir, CEO of Storm, said the appointment represents a vote of confidence in the company’s ability to develop international brands in Jordan.
“Being selected as an official distributor of Philips Audio & Accessories in Jordan is an important vote of confidence in Storm and our ability to develop international brands in this market,” Mounir said.
“Our responsibility is to turn that confidence into wider product availability, strong retail relationships and a customer experience that reflects the Philips name.”
Rather than applying the same distribution model across its portfolio, Storm says its strategy is built around tailoring commercial plans to each brand, taking into account its product categories, customer base and competitive position.
That includes identifying demand, selecting the appropriate sales channels and establishing measurable objectives around availability, channel performance, customer demand and service quality.
Retail Network Becomes Central to Philips Expansion
The next phase will focus heavily on retail execution.
Mahmoud Saeed, General Manager of Storm, said the company will work to build an effective distribution network capable of maintaining product availability while reaching more retailers and consumers across Jordan.
“Retailers need reliable product availability, clear information and practical support,” Saeed said. “We will work closely with our partners on product training, marketing and their ongoing business requirements. Helping retailers serve their customers well is central to growing the brand.”
Storm also plans to coordinate its sales and marketing operations more closely to respond to changes in consumer demand and retailers’ commercial requirements.
Training will form part of that strategy, giving retail sales teams greater knowledge of the Philips portfolio and enabling them to explain product features and differences more effectively to customers.
Storm Builds a Broader Platform for International Brands
The agreement also illustrates Storm’s wider ambitions in Jordan.
Under Mounir’s leadership, the company is seeking to expand its portfolio of international brands while building a commercial platform covering distribution, business development, marketing and customer service.
“We want Storm to be a partner companies can rely on as they expand in Jordan,” Mounir said. “That means understanding their ambitions, agreeing on clear goals and delivering consistently.”
The strategy places Jordan at the center of Storm’s current expansion plans, with the company seeking deeper relationships with retailers, businesses and global brands looking for local partners capable of managing more than logistics and product supply.
For Philips Audio & Accessories, the partnership gives the brand a local framework for expanding its physical reach while supporting retailers with marketing, training and after-sales services.
For Storm, it provides another test of a business model that increasingly depends on how effectively a distributor can build and develop brands in a market, rather than simply place their products on shelves.
