Orange Egypt Extends El Gouna Film Festival Partnership for Ninth Consecutive Year

Orange Egypt has renewed its partnership with the El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) for the ninth consecutive year, continuing as the festival’s Official Telecommunications Partner for its 2026 edition, taking place from October 15 to 23.

The partnership builds on a relationship that has accompanied GFF throughout its nine editions, bringing together Orange Egypt’s commitment to arts and culture with the festival’s role in connecting filmmakers, established industry professionals and emerging talent from Egypt, the region and around the world.

Under the theme “Cinema for Humanity,” the ninth edition of GFF will once again bring diverse cinematic voices and experiences to El Gouna, while creating opportunities for dialogue, collaboration and creative exchange across the film community.

For Orange Egypt, the partnership extends beyond its presence at one of the region’s leading cultural events. It forms part of the company’s broader approach to supporting initiatives that give creative talent access to knowledge, professional networks and opportunities to develop their ideas into projects with the potential to reach wider audiences.

Creating Opportunities Beyond the Screen

Orange Egypt will continue to support activities and initiatives around the festival that help emerging filmmakers develop their skills, exchange knowledge and build connections with industry professionals.

These platforms are designed to create an environment where talent at different stages of the filmmaking journey can learn from experienced professionals, present ideas, develop projects and establish relationships that can support their future careers.

As Official Telecommunications Partner, Orange Egypt will also provide services and benefits designed to support the festival experience for guests and attendees throughout the nine-day event.

A Partnership Built Around Talent and Creativity

Commenting on the partnership, Maha Nagy, Executive Vice President for Public Relations, Media and Corporate Communication at Orange Egypt, said: "Our partnership with El Gouna Film Festival has grown over nine years into a relationship that reflects Orange Egypt’s long-term commitment to arts, culture and the film industry. What matters most to us is supporting platforms that give talent the space to express ideas, develop their capabilities and connect with opportunities that can take their work further."

She added: "Egypt has a remarkable cinematic heritage and a unique position within the region. Preserving that legacy while building its future requires continuous investment in talent and in the spaces that connect filmmakers with new ideas, experiences and professional networks. El Gouna Film Festival has succeeded in creating such a platform, and we are proud to have been part of that journey since its beginning."

Supporting the Journey From Ideas to Films

Orange Egypt’s engagement with GFF is also aligned with its wider support for cultural and creative initiatives that help talent move from learning and experimentation to developing tangible projects.

"Our support is not limited to a film festival that takes place for a few days each year,” Nagy said. “It is part of a wider commitment to initiatives that help creative talent learn, grow and transform ideas into projects and productions that can contribute to Egyptian and Arab cinema."

She added that Orange Egypt will continue to support opportunities that connect Egyptian talent with the local and international film community, helping strengthen the visibility of Egyptian creativity across regional and global platforms.

Through nine consecutive editions, the partnership between Orange Egypt and El Gouna Film Festival has evolved into a long-term collaboration centered on creativity, talent development and meaningful connections across the film industry.

By continuing the partnership in 2026, Orange Egypt reinforces its commitment to initiatives that create lasting opportunities for creative communities and contribute to the continued development of Egypt’s cultural and cinematic landscape.
