Egypt’s InstaPay instant payment network processed more than 434 million financial transactions during the first quarter of 2026, with their combined value exceeding EGP 2 trillion, according to the Central Bank of Egypt’s Financial Stability Report.

Connecting Egypt’s Banking Sector
InstaPay operates as a national instant payment network that connects banks operating in Egypt and facilitates real-time financial transfers.
The platform forms part of Egypt’s fintech infrastructure, providing digital capabilities that allow financial technology companies to integrate with the network and develop new payment solutions for different segments of society.
System Officially Launched in 2022
The InstaPay system officially went into operation on March 22, 2022, establishing a national infrastructure for instant financial transfers.
Since its launch, the platform has become part of Egypt’s expanding digital payments ecosystem, supporting the wider adoption of electronic financial services.
