5G Expansion to Improve Telecom Services

Egypt is placing greater emphasis on expanding fifth-generation mobile networks as part of efforts to improve telecommunications services, broaden network coverage and make digital government services more accessible to citizens.

Eng. Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said the development of telecom networks and wider 5G deployment will be a key foundation for the next stage of the sector’s development.

He added that the upcoming phase will focus on maximizing the economic and social benefits of advanced technologies, including the wider adoption of artificial intelligence-based solutions to enhance the efficiency of network management.

Technology at the Heart of Digital Egypt

Hindi said the plans are aligned with the Digital Egypt strategy, which aims to use technology to deliver tangible benefits to people and improve their everyday lives.

The strategy focuses on making government services easier to access digitally, helping small businesses reach new markets and customers, and equipping young people across Egypt with the skills required to secure high-quality employment opportunities.
