Egypt and UAE Strengthen Sports Cooperation
Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Gohar Nabil, received a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council headed by Secretary-General Aref Al Awani to discuss ways to expand cooperation in the sports sector.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials from Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports.
During the meeting, Gohar Nabil highlighted the longstanding and close ties between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates across various fields. He also reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to strengthening bilateral sports cooperation and facilitating the exchange of expertise to support the development of the sports sectors in both countries.
Preparations Underway for the 11th Zayed Charity Run
The discussions focused on preparations for Egypt to host the 11th edition of the Zayed Charity Run, scheduled to take place next December.
Both sides discussed efforts to deliver the upcoming edition at a distinguished level that reflects the importance of the event and supports its humanitarian objectives.
Investing in Human Capital Through Sports
The meeting also addressed opportunities to invest in human capital through sports projects implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The two sides discussed strengthening cooperation and knowledge sharing in ways that can benefit athletes and the broader sports sector, while contributing to improved quality of life through greater participation in sporting activities.
