Alfa Romeo Steals the Spotlight at the 2026 Paris Motor Show with the Debut of the ”Cuorerosso” Concept Car
Italian automaker Alfa Romeo officially pulled the wraps off its new "Cuorerosso" concept car during the 2026 Paris Motor Show at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (Hall 4), showcasing its future design language and a vision that places driving pleasure front and center.
Futuristic Italian Design with Realistic Proportions
The car arrived as a four-door, four-seat (2+2) "Grand Tourer" (GT) sports model, penned by Alfa Romeo's "Centro Stile" in Turin. "Cuorerosso" features balanced and realistic proportions at 4.7 meters long, complete with advanced aerodynamic touches including an aggressive front fascia and a short "coda tronca" (truncated tail) tail inspired by the brand's rich heritage to achieve a drag coefficient of just 0.28.
Hybrid Powertrain with a V6 Engine and the Quadrifoglio Badge
bucking the general trend toward full electrification, Alfa Romeo reaffirmed its commitment to pure sporting performance by outfitting "Cuorerosso" with the famous "Quadrifoglio" (four-leaf clover) badge. It is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system combining a powerful 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine with advanced hybrid tech to enhance throttle response and overall performance.
Driver-Centric Interior Featuring Steer-by-Wire Technology
The interior philosophy focuses on minimizing visual distractions and deepening the connection between driver and car. It relies on steer-by-wire technology, interactive screens that reduce displayed data as driving speeds increase to keep focus on the road, alongside a sports steering wheel and three distinct driving modes tailored to driving enthusiasts.
A Design Manifesto Staking Out the Future
Alfa Romeo emphasizes that "Cuorerosso" is not merely a prototype for a specific production vehicle, but a "design manifesto" and engineering showcase of its vision to blend modern tech—such as artificial intelligence and hybrid powertrains—with the timeless thrill of driving spirit.
