Kamil Hilali Joins AHOY Board as Independent Director
AHOY, the group building the world’s leading deployed Sovereign Physical AI platform, has announced the appointment of Kamil Hilali to its Board of Directors as an Independent Director.
The appointment comes as AHOY enters a new phase of growth, expanding its focus across Physical AI, Sovereign AI, and the emerging MENA Third Pole.
Kamil Hilali Brings Extensive Digital Infrastructure Experience
Hilali currently serves as Group CEO of TASC Towers Holding, an independent digital infrastructure platform operating across the Middle East and North Africa.
Prior to joining TASC Towers Holding, Hilali served as Group Chief Strategy Officer of Zain Group, where he led the development and execution of the company’s 4Sight and 4WARD strategies. These strategies supported Zain’s evolution from a mobile operator into a diversified digital and infrastructure TechCo.
During his tenure at Zain Group, Hilali played a key role in landmark M&A transactions, capital restructurings, IPOs, and tower divestments.
He also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Zain KSA.
Hilali began his career in asset management at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York and later worked in private equity at the KIPCO-affiliated North Africa Holding Company.
Strong Background in Finance and Investment
Hilali holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a Master’s in Finance from London Business School. He also completed the Venture Capital Unlocked program at Stanford University.
His experience combines large-scale digital infrastructure operations, cross-border M&A, strategic transformation, and capital markets expertise across the MENA region.

Hilali joins AHOY at a pivotal stage as the company moves from category creation to category leadership across Physical AI, Sovereign AI, and the emerging MENA Third Pole.
The group is simultaneously pursuing a strategic capital raise, sovereign-grade deployments, and international expansion as it scales its platform.
Commenting on the appointment, Jamil Shinawi, Founder and CEO of AHOY, said that Hilali brings infrastructure operating rigor, strategic clarity, and global capital markets expertise developed through more than two decades of transforming digital infrastructure businesses.

The appointment of Kamil Hilali is effective immediately, with statutory director filings currently underway.
