Landslide Lead for Housing & Development Bank

Housing and Development Bank (HDB) delivered an exceptional performance at the close of Thursday's trading, recording the highest gain in the financial sector at 6.32% to close at EGP 110.94, with a total trading value of EGP 17.198 million across 159.97 thousand shares.

"Al Baraka" and "Faisal in EGP" at the Top

Al Baraka Bank Egypt secured second place with a 4.29% rise to reach EGP 23.11 (on EGP 10.103 million in trading), followed by Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (EGP) in third place with a 4.09% increase, closing at EGP 45.31 (on EGP 3.686 million in trading).

Notable Activity Among Mid-Cap and Major Banks

The United Bank: Rose by 3.88% to close at EGP 15.79.

QNB Egypt: Gained 2.16% to finish trading at EGP 59.25.

Crédit Agricole: Recorded a 1.96% growth to reach EGP 23.95.

ADIB Egypt: Advanced 1.67% to close at EGP 49.82 amid high liquidity reaching EGP 59.822 million.

CIB Leads Trading Volume; Suez Canal Bank Records Lone Decline

Commercial International Bank (CIB) gained 1.10% to trade at EGP 127.69, leading the sector in turnover at approximately EGP 433.336 million. Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBank) also rose by 0.53% (EGP 21.03), while Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGBANK) ticked up 0.38% ($0.522).

Conversely, Suez Canal Bank recorded the sector’s sole decline, slipping 0.30% to close at EGP 45.77, while Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (USD) remained unchanged.
